Stare Bibice – A House That Opens to the Light

  • Laminated safety glass
  • Three-layer installation
  • Concealed hinges

A project where precision meets harmony — where technical decisions arise not from the need to impress, but from respect for the rhythm of everyday life. The house in Stare Babice was meant to be calm: bright, open, and free from excess. Our task was to design and deliver joinery that wouldn’t dominate this vision — but complete it.

We used 17 aluminium structures — slender, visually light, prepared for large glazing. The profiles are finished in a cool silvery-grey tone — subtle, neutral, and quietly complementing the surrounding materials. The glazing is made of laminated safety glass with warm-edge spacers, ensuring not only insulation but also silence — the kind that should be felt in every home, even if it has no name.

The installation was triple-layered, with the windows extended into the insulation layer. Every detail — from sealing tapes and protective flashings to fully concealed hinges — was designed to preserve the building’s lightness and coherence. It’s a house that doesn’t compete with its surroundings.

A project that doesn’t dominate space, but becomes part of it. Created with the belief that good joinery should disappear — and still change everything.
